by Merrill Allgier on What is a "Venue Fee"? Got charged for the dinner table and the cabana. They are few steps away. Why are we getting charge for both. We have reservation for dinner and cabana on a Saturday night. Food was not good; tasted like high school cafeteria lunch. I order lobster risotto and my husband order filet mignon w/add on lobster tail. The risotto was totally gross. Felt like it was instant microwave risotto adding 4 small pieces of lobster. Very disappointing especially if you're paying for $40 meal. As for filet mignon, it was totally over cook for medium rare. Another worst thing about this place, their water glasses. You see finger prints, small cracks throughout the glasses. It was made out of plastic. Such a high-end place should provide a better presentation then using a plastic cups. The cabana was well decor. The furniture was really plush and comfy. Overall the outside venue is really nice. However the inside dance floor was jam packed. I definitely will not come back here on a saturday for dinner. It sounds like from other reviewers weekdays are much better.
by Raul Fuse on Speaking as a Red River girl, I really thought I would have never been caught dead at Pure. I only found myself there tonight because my friend who was with me suggested it. I actually found this place to be very aesthetically pleasing. The soft glow of white and blue lights, and lots of private nooks to hide in. The music was totally dance-worthy and I especially appreciated the row of private restrooms. It's almost the kind of night club I'd design if I were in the night-club-designing business. So why does every chic place have to be ruined by the clientele? Which of course were your typical 6th St college greeks, sleazeballs, and date rapists. Also, I didn't pay for any of my drinks but I presume they're on the pricier side. But all in all the atmosphere (and my company) made up for my distaste of the patrons. I recommend checking this bar out on a Sunday night when it's not too crowded.
by Diana M. on The venue is pretty nice here. There was a good mixture of people partying that night and a real plus was Supercr3w and SoReal Cru who happened to hang out there that night. (( Go Supercr3w! )) Looking at the previous ratings I can tell some people really had a good time and some just thought it was whatevers. I guess it depends on who you go with and what your looking for. The Highlands had decent music and a good mixture of people. It's probably not the place to go if you like going out because you like staring at gorgeous hotties but it's a good place to go with your friends to have a good time which is why I went and I give it 4 stars!
