by Steven L. on This place is DOPE! More girls then guys! Cleanest club in sf that i've ever been to. Music was cool. they played top 40. FYI if you go here with a large group of guys then i don't think your gonna get in unless you get bottles.
by Colby Varenhorst on small enough to feel intimate, and large enough not to feel hot, sweaty and closterphobic. This is a nice, clean, space with a great soundsystem. There were multiple bars, and it was just organized very well. I found it surprising that someone as big as lady gaga would play at a smaller club like the Mezzanine, but I am so happy that she did. I didn't have any trouble moving around for the most part. It can be annoying when you are there to watch a show, and inevitablly, you will surrounded by a bunch of d bags....you know they dance about knocking into you with no regard for space limitations. you end being whipped in the face by flying hair, and elbowed in the neck. i say if you aren't there to watch the show, get the eff out of my way! That is really the only problem with a space like this, but don't let that deter you. One suggestion : if you are vertically challenged, and you can't get right in front, to try the back, sides, or upstairs. it's a small club, so if your're not right in front, trying to get "close" will leave you with a nice view of the back of someone's head or back if you're 5'6 or under.
by James on The club plays pretty good music. The security personnel are all f***ed up. They allow people that they know to get in and leave other people lining up. They should all be termiated and employ people that know what they are doing.
