"Bachelorette party disappointment" I hosted a bachelorette party at ASIA Sf this past Saturday and I was pretty disappointed. Prior to going my expectations were high due to the rave reviews both on rateclubs and from comments I received from friends who had experienced it, but I was not impressed at all. The venue is tiny! I don't know what I was expecting but a room as small as that was not what I had anticipated at all. The room was stuffy and hot and the tables were practically sitting on top of one another. The seating arrangements were awkward considering if you have a large group half of them will have to turn around on stools to see the so called "show." For the price they charge I was expecting decent entertainment. The Ladies of Sf were beautiful but I wanted to see more of a performance. The best part of the show was the last 15 minutes when they all come out and lip-sync to popular tunes but they should have done more throughout dinner. I definitely think the show aspect of the night could have been a lot better. On a positive note the food was good. I LOVED the dessert, however some girls felt that they did not get enough food throughout the meal. The club downstairs is just a small basement and it tends to get really crowded. We barely spent any time down there at all. The bathroom are disgusting! Maybe I'm just picky because our group consisted of 30 somethings and our tastes are not what they used to be, but I would not recommend this venue if you want a sophisticated nice evening out with the ladies. Overall, I regret taking my best friend there for her bachelorette party and it retrospect I would have rather paid the same amount to go to a nice dinner.

So I went to Vessel for a Boys Noize show on an "Infatuation" Weds event. Parking was a breeze on Weds night, and Vessel is truly located in one of the shadiest alleys I've seen. Once inside, there's a coat check, and you head downstairs to the stage/lounge area. The flier said something about free Svedka tasting 9-10PM. What this means in actuality is that you get 1 free drink. Not a huge problem, if you did the 'responsible' thing and pre-partied. :) They also had a 2 for 1 well drink thing going on for the whole night making the ordering of drinks far less painful. It's pretty dark inside, but I did notice the lounge area is very swank, and the bathroom area is unorthodox but interesting. Over at the bar, the pours were reasonable, and service was pretty quick (we got there early). Wells are 8 bucks, and water is 4. The music totally made the experience, Boys Noize was awesome. The energy from the crowd was terrific and overwhelming, especially when you're squished up at the front! It's all a blur after that, my next most vivid memory is making my way up the stairs at 2am with the party and dancing behind me still raging. I somehow lost one of my shirts in the melee. At that moment, I didn't care.. the cool air outside was heavenly. My ears were ringing.. I was partially deafened.. with a huge smile on my face.
