by Juan Jardine on I had a rateclubs deal (similiar to a groupon) for Nick's so I headed over with a friend to finally check out what all the buzz was about. The tacos "Nick's way" are definitely the way to go, they taste delish! But not sure that I'd go as far to call them the best taqueria in the city. I think there are plenty of spots in the Mission that would win that award. Props to the bartender on thursday nights who serves up happy hour margaritas, on the rocks, with salt, that are strong! One tip to keep in mind, they don't take credit cards, so make sure to bring cash.
by Marty D. on Best Club in LA. My House, H.Wood, Les Deux, are great if you're superficial and in the "industry"...but Opera is where you go to actually party and dance. The girls are very hot here and the drinks are good. And guess what...there is no drama at the line!
by Benny Minister on Our first night in Atlanta, I went to the Clermont Lounge with my girlfriend and her friend, both of them from Atlanta but all of us new to Clermont. We went in not knowing what to expect... Diversification is living large in the Clermont lounge, in all ways. This looks like a dive bar, but it's selling t-shirts and hats. In one part of the bar, a skinny blonde girl is karaoke-ing Erykah Badu-- and she was Calling Tyrone unexpectedly well. The black guy that took the stage after her sang a country/blues song with decent twang. In the other part of the bar, behind the long, curving counter, a stripper is dancing bravely along to whatever the karaoke singers decide to put on. I've never been to a strip club, and you don't need to be comfortable in a strip club environment to be comfortable here. Definitely not. The well drinks are 3.25 and the bartenders are friendly, or smart-ass in a friendly way. If I spent every night for the rest of this trip in the Clermont Lounge, I wouldn't feel I missed out on a thing.
