Wait... did I walk into grandma's closet? Oh no, just Bruno's. It felt kind of like a time warp walking in here. The dark lighting and the red walls lined with cushy seats. The mirror behind the bar with the drink specials written on the glass in an old English font. Bruno's had a distinct smell to it, kind of a mixture of fried food and grandma's closet. Not grandma's closet filled with moth balls but grandma's closet with the lack of moth balls. Essentially it smells like old lady. No cover on Thursday night. The bathroom is teeny tiny. Two stalls, pink and lacks seat covers. There are two rooms, one big room and the other smaller VIP room in the back. Good music to dance to. Ventilation seemed to be pointed at one spot and we were lucky enough to find that one sweet spot and stick with it. The speakers seem to be pointed at one spot also because when I walked by one area, I lost all hearing. Overall, a nice place to go on a Thursday night, it is definitely not like Holy Cow Thursdays, but it can compare. I'll definitely be coming back.

Danny B transformed Tokio into the disco on a cruise ship and got it right. Simple design with a dance floor in the middle and great sound. If you ever get bottle service there, make sure you ask for Chere. Five stars are for her. Thank me later.

I think I must be getting too old to go out because I just couldn't get myself to dance at this sardine-can like venue. The music was pretty good, but I think LA has enough good DJs that decent music can't be the only sell. Unfortunately, the only good thing I have to say about this place is the parking.
