Eh! I had better.  Based on the reviews, I decided to go there.  It's on Buford Highway about a mile past the 85 and 285 junction in a strip mall next to a brazilian restaurant and some korean shops. The place is small with about seating for 30. I didnt appreciate the rude tone when I didnt have reservations on a Saturday night.   There were plenty of seats available. Ordered the cali roll ($6), ordered the sushi sake (5 pieces sashimi for $10),  1 piece tuna nigiri $4, 1 piece tamago $1.50, 2 pieces eel $2.50 per piece, and sushi combi #1 ($28).  Usually nigiri comes in packs of two , but this price was Per piece which I thought was alot but I was figuring they were thick slices.   One thing about the combo sashimi - do not request substitutions because the head waiter will have a cow.  Most restaurants I been too don't really care.  I just really prefer more tuna and salmon.... just could have said it nicer way! Oh yeah also ordered the eggplant and cold tofu to start as an appetizer. Well after 20 minutes, Finally got the first appetizer. Not sure why it took 20 minutes to cut a four blocks of raw tofu and put some green onions on top.   Finished it quickly because I figured they are going to bring these tiny weeny appetizers one at a time.  10 minutes later, I get the eggplant.  They are okay nothing spectacular.  THEN, another 10 minutes after I finish I get the first salmon sashimi.  At this point, I ask the waiter to just bring it all out at once.  I get some excuse that he will try his best but that the preparations are all different.  15 minutes later I get the rest of the dishes. The sashimi combo #1 is 15 pieces of sashimi,  They were average sized and selection of fish.  I was most impressed with the tamago (it was a huge portion of egg stuffed with sushi rice).  Best $1.50 I ever spent on tamago nigiri.  I was also impressed with the california roll which was alot of sushi.  The tuna nigiri was a large sized piece.  The eel was average.  I was dissapointed with the salmon sashimi; it was cut very thin not worth the price in my opinion. One thing I didnt like.  They only have low sodium soy sauce.  I need the extra salt to counterbalance the light sashimi.  One thing I did like, the mini mushroom appetizer they give complimentary.  Its soaked shitaki mushrooms in a sweet sauce.  Small bite but very good. The bathrooms are well kept and clean. The main waiter is a bit of a butt, you will notice him because he will be micromanaging the other waiters. Total was $65 not including tip.   In this price range,  I think the better value is going to Circle sushi for sashimi.  The pieces are larger and just as fresh.  I also prefer the service there (much faster).  I probably won't be going to this place again.  They really need to work on their timing and service.

I must admit that I was skeptic about this place from before they opened, they are a club that has to offer food to have their late night permit and I am aware of the food quality at similar establishments isn't usually up to par with a place that serving quality food is their primary business. I have been to this place as a club and usually clubs do not look nearly as good in the day time, however Prana is different, the place looks pretty good in the light. The staff was very friendly and seated us fairly quickly. I ordered the 5 spice chicken with rice and it was decent, nothing to die for however nothing to complain about, my friend had the salad and the soup (can't remember which ones exactly) he enjoyed both of his dishes. The wait staff was average at best on being on top of things, our glasses of water were empty more than once and the big kicker was we ordered their fresh juices that we asked for twice and didn't receive the drinks until the same time that we received our check. They did realize the mistake and didn't charge us for the drinks so we considered it dessert. I did look at food on other peoples plates and they looked good, the price was decent so I am pretty sure I will be back to check this place out again.

Went here last Saturday night. The place was EMPTY until midnight when suddenly it was overpacked. The staff was very short and curt with the exception of the bathroom attendant who was borderline creepy. The mix of music was kinda fun but the DJ never knew how long to stay with a song, just as you were getting into it he'd change the tune and not always in the smoothest of transitions. Sometimes he'd flat out kill the beat. Drinks are overpriced $8 for a Heineken, $12 for the smallest Jack and Coke with the most amount of ice you've ever seen. But I can't really fault them for that, that's most of NYC's nightlife. The VIP area got all the attention and really was nothing special to begin with. There really was nothing special about this place at all to be honest. I had an okay time but only because of my friends, not the club itself.
