by victor g. on Club Mayan was fun got there around 11 so we missed the 10 dollar cover before 10:30. Paid 17 which is still not a horrible cover price for a club. The line to get in was long, but to our surprise it move pretty quick! I liked the fact that there is a private parking lot right next to the club. Its well lit and they have security guys walking around. But don't fall for the 2 dollar parking sign on the street!! Ha ha it was 10 bucks... Inside we went to the top bar / DJ area. It was small and i guess its the Mexican music room which is cool but not what we were looking for this night. So we headed to the main room its huge and looks cool the walls and celling have this Mayan look to it. There's a big bar as soon as you walk in, but its crowed and the wait is to long. There's a second bar on the left side were it was super easy to get a drink. The drinks are good and stiff! I loved the music the DJ was on it! Shout out to DJ Pepper if i remember correctly, the mix made sense no fluff hah. He played everything; hip hop, Spanish rock, electro... The music makes a club right? And the music this night definitely made it a better experience. There's another room The Basement all hip hop, didn't get to check it out, once in the main room the vibe was to good and we were having to much fun to want to leave. Another great point i have to mention was the amount of hotties in the club! Solid girl to guy ratio lol hey it matters just saying...

It's literally packed to the brim on Sundays so if you want a seat you should get there a bit early. Great beer on tap, excellent cabbage (when they have it), always friendly, lots of neighborhood people. Date Rating: 2 Pick up Scale: 3 Strong Suggestion: Come here when you're in a casual, unpretentious, relaxed mood and melt away.
by Euna Pelkowski on I love this place! totally random location with not much around as far as businesses go. the interior is this great modern loft space. the best part- no wait for a really fantastic breakfast. i usually order the lemon ricotta pancakes- light and fluffy with the right amount of lemon flavor- super good! they also have the perfect answer to the savory vs sweet breakfast dilemma. a sweet crepe filled with eggs, cheese, and sausage- yum! the only thing I can't rave about is the OJ. they say its fresh but that's debatable. still good but has a watery taste to it. coffee though is quite good. my new fave breakfast place in the city!
