somewhat overpriced beer, a lot of standing and waiting for the burlesque, and the burlesque itself was more like watching girls imitate what the've seen in old bugs bunny cartoons, lots of pouty faces and rolling sleeves up and down. to be fair, it was my first time here, and it was cult movie night (girl dressed up like mia wallace in pulp fiction) but we had to leave after the 3rd girl, it just wasnt getting any better, sorry

Ok, I just have to be honest with myself. Despite all the hype, the food is sub par. The steak had an aftertaste and I suppose that's the taste of uncooked meat, and how can you argue because the line is atrociously long and the Geno's people are trying to speed everything along. Now about the bread...it's stale. It's not just a tad or a bit stale...it's stale. The only thing that really made up for it was the generous coating of cheez whiz. Asides for the fun and attractive lights out in front, the food is not worth waiting in line for again. oh yeah....and *BEWARE* *BEWARE* for the HOTSAUCE!!! IT'S HELL RAISING!!!

Exactly what I and my new bride needed. We booked a King Suite for our wedding night, and the proceeding night; she stayed the night before, her and the girls dressed there the morning of our wedding. It was right on. Kitschy, urban, modern, and mostly TIKI. The private balcony was nice; fully enclosed in glass, so you had the illusion of being outside with the cold of smell of the Tenderloin. We're SF natives, so we knew what we where getting into as far as the neighborhood; junkies, trannies, hipsters, and a couple of newlyweds... a typical weekend in the TL. The virtual tour on the website was VERY representative and spot on. Sounds like a five-star review so far, right? Well. It's very pricey. Try stupid expensive; but, you only get married once (if you're doing it right), we got married at the Great American Music Hall (like two blocks away), and I've always wanted to stay at this hotel (attended a party here several years ago). We were also REQUIRED to book two nights, supposedly because there was a convention in town (when isn't there?). We were planning to book two nights; but, I'd like to have had options especially considering, again, the room rate. Look... it's the Tenderloin, or Civic Center if you prefer, and it's basically a cool dressed up motor lodge... it's unreasonable to charge Bellagio rates. It gets better. When our photographers came to shoot my bride, they had to sign an agreement that they wouldn't photograph the pool. Whatever. Don't get me wrong. We'd stay again, if we were filthy rich.
