Love the atmosphere of the Velvet Margarita, it's how Hollywood is supposed to be, funky dark rocker Latino fun--it's LA. I like to come here with friends first to get a bite eat a couple of shots to start off the evening to set the mood. Food's alright, not the best Mexican but it's good--hence the 4. Drinks are good too, but I'm not into $5 buck Margaritas.

Why, why WHY did Kelly's change their brunch menu? This has been a staple brunch spot for my crew because of the ample parking, proximity to our hoods, outdoor seating and decently-equipped menu. It's an excellent atmosphere for a warm sunny day with bay views and chillin with a mimosa or a Hefeweizen. BUT--I do not dig the new menu. I used to frequent the mushroom ragout scramble but the last couple of times I've eaten there I was underwhelmed. Side note though, I went to a wedding there and it is indeed a cool spot for a party and the lobster pot pies were decadent. Bring back the old menu, pleeeeeease!

One of the best shows I've seen was here. M83 is electronica that demands acoustics; the wall of sound is integral to their show. The music couldn't have had a better environment. GAMH has some of the best acoustics around; the ambiance of the place entices memories to be had, the crowd is usually well versed in the artist on stage. I am adding to the hollering and chants of greatness that this venue will hold now and forever.
