by peter d. on The dulce de leche gelato is absolutely fantastic, except when paired with Brooklyn Brown Ale. The cones are nice, but not as amazing as you would think, considering that they are handmade in France and smuggled into the US by pre-pubescent teens that are summarily executed if even one cone is cracked.* There is nothing emasculating about having another man buy you ice cream. Especially if you call him Daddy for the rest of the day. I swear. __________ *I may have made part of this up.
by Elinor Klossner on Great dinner and lunch option. The wine list is acceptable but the food makes it great. The fried green tomatoes were only OK, but the corn bread was heavenly. The Fried Chicken wins! The mashed potatoes that accompany them are whipped to perfection. Banana pudding is good. Mussels are great. and I will be returning. There only problem was parking, valet would move it up to five.
by Aretha Belony on Overall: 4 Old school cool but not for everyone. I can't imagine staying here for more than 2 drinks, so come here if you have money to piss away. Service: 4 The staff is was on top of things and were pretty nice. Guess it must be from the prices. Ambiance: 3 Filled with some cool people and then some people who think they are too cool for school. It's possible to have an intimate conversation. Decor: 5 It's a unique place that's reminiscent of another time. Killer pool table. Value: 2 Yeah it's overpriced but you shouldn't be coming here for a good deal.
