by Tiana Jempty on Any club that gives me crap at the door just annoys me and Hiro is one of them. I got on the guest list (Velvet List) and it was supposed to be free for ladies and strangely the door lady told me it is NOT. So I had to pay $15 to get in. She made it seem like such a big favor and I should kiss her ass. The music is here is mostly hip hop with mix of house in between. It is annoying though they raised the volume so high that it almost pierced through my ears! I want loud music but i don't need health-endangering volume! Drinks here are regular NYC club price. I would probably go to Park, which is one block down on the 10th Ave to get the same mix of crowd, decent music, and FREE admission all night long.
by Karri Quidley on Unexpected pit stop on bar crawl, making it stop #5. And what else makes sense for stop #5 than a SCORPION BOWL RACE!!!!!!!! Scorpion bowl trivia: 5 shots in each one, so I would really not recommend a diabetic try this race since the rest is sugar, juice, ice, and sugar. Those little plastic animals made their way into people's purses to be found days later. Tons of fun.
