Good food, good music, good vibes. Only for the grown and sexy! If I could, I would give this place 10 stars. The food here is always fresh and super delicious. They aren't shady on the alcohol either. You'd only need one or two drinks and you'd be tipsy. Besides the food and drinks, the performances they have at the jazz club are always crazy good. I've seen Amel Larrieux, Soulive, Roy Hargrove and the RH Factor, Slum Village, Zapp, Goapele, and Brian McKnight here. There's no photography or audio recording allowed during the show but afterwards they usually have a meet and greet with the performers which is really cool. I even exchanged numbers with one of the members of Zapp! This place always gives off a good vibe. Great place for a date as the setting is pretty intimate. In all, the people are friendly, the food is delicious, and the live music is always off the hook! Love this place!

Being near the infamous tourist trap intersection of Hollywood and Highland I was expecting some rookie party crowd, but H. Wood delivered for what it was .. a lounge. The line situation was a bit of a mess (fortunately, we were with people who knew one of the guys who worked the door (eff knowing promoters..they can't always pull their weight, it's always best to know STAFF of the establishment). Crowd is way chill with some trendy/electro type of style. If you've been to Dim Mak parties, then this what you'd expect. Always bonus points when Electro/House music is being played downstairs . It reminded me a bit like Spider Club (now called Bardot). Drinks are on average as everywhere else where topshelf on the rocks drinks run about $1-2 more than other spots. I opted for my good ol' Tokyo Tea. It never fails, and I can say the pours were strong (thank goodness!) Gotta love the open air patio so you can get your smoke on too!
