by Madge Egler on Ok ladies, you better get your game on when you go to Asia SF cause I GUARANTEE you that no matter how hot you look.... the "ladies" there will look a whole lot better than you! I went with a group of my friends and took my mom along. It was about $60 per person without drinks. For about 2 hours of entertainment and dinner it was totally worth it. The food was a lot better than I expected and actually thought it was delish! The best thing was that my mom had the best time and she was amazed on how the "ladies" looked. She kept telling them, in her broken English, that they were pretty. My mom can't wait to go back. I went one time with a friend and were seated at the bar. The country bumpkin lady who sat next to me pointed out to me that one of the "ladies" boobs didn't look good. I turned to look and she must have been able to read lips because she thought I was with that lady and kept giving me "stink eye" all night long. She must have told her friends because I got more "stink eye". Careful what you say.... they read lips.... I'll definitely come back.
by Ann W. on Like a teenager: plenty of attitude, doesn't have its priorities straight, and serious growing pains. Plenty of attitude: The place has a decor that says it tried hard to be hip and chic and cool and all that, but falls short. The white leather, the textured walls, a string of inset tv's, and the sacrilegious placement of Buddhist icons where idiots can rest their empty beer bottles...but something about it is both incomplete and forced. On a more positive note, the bouncers and staff were courteous and friendly, which seems to fight the current trend in bigger night clubs these days, so kudos for that. I also would say that I like the layout with a large open main area and VIP balcony above, and the lower level that consisted of another larger area with an adjacent third room. Doesn't have its priorities straight: Unfortunately they didn't think the bars through very hard. In a nightclub, pouring drinks should be at the top of the priority list. Not only were there not enough bars to support the crowd, but only one bartender at some bars, leaving the wait for a drink at over 20 minutes. This kept us sober the whole night. I credit this lack of inebriation for the abundance negative reviews; like a potential mate, dance clubs look better through beer goggles as well. They also failed to recognize that VIP is actually an acronym whose words should mean something. Growing pains: I don't think it's anything that Temple won't work out eventually on it's own. I try not to judge a club on the smaller details when it first opens. But for now, the things they need to work on include: hectic entrance line(s) with ridiculous waits, dirty bathrooms that one needs a GPS system to find, the sauna effect in the small downstairs room, and the super bright lighting in the main room. Of special note was the sound system. Outside of Tokyo, this was probably the best sound system that I have ever heard in a club. Especially in the downstairs small room.
