Amazing service, food, drinks, and music. What else do you need? The owner and staff were extremely accommodating while I was planning for a large birthday celebration on a Saturday night, and that exceptional service didn't stop at the planning stage. We had a group of 15 people celebrating three birthdays and we all left extremely satisfied. The food was SO tasty, and I really appreciate the vegan fresh pasta dish that they had available for me. The fries were unreal. The table shared all of their sharing plates including various dinner plates and not one of the dishes were left unfinished. Most of us indulged in the wine on tap which was strong, tasty, and in generous pours. They also had a great selection of beers. Gotta love Chimay! The staff was totally responsive and prompt with food and drink requests, which is no easy feat for such a large group. The jazz band was upbeat and extremely talented. The Afrorhythm, late-night euphonic offering was perfect for an unusual yet inclusive and familiar musical experience. It was perfect for dancing off the wonderful meal/drinks. I can't wait to return to Coda for another wonderful, tuneful dinner - its the perfect atmosphere for an intimate and lively ambiance.

Scantily clad girls swinging and performing acrobatics in white pieces of cloth strapped to the ceiling. Friends of friends whispering "Happy Birthday" to me and giving me lap dances. Hentai playing on the TV screen. Dancing like there was no freaking tomorrow and drinking like I had no choice (because I didn't). A promoter friend getting us TWO free bottles of vodka AND a booth to put all of our rain-saturated gear. Does it sound like it could get better than this? No way! Slightly biased because we got the VIP treatment, but hey, it was awesome. The line was not too bad due to Mother Earth opening a can of whoop ass and raining it out. Well, at least you know Hiro does not flood (like another club that I was supposed to go to, yikes)! It was slightly chaotic trying to get into the club - read: a clash of multiple authorities at the red velvet rope and rain trying to destroy us in heels. But, after getting in, I danced all night only with intermittent breaks to pee or drink (necessities of birthdays). The bathroom was pretty sick (not in a good way). One of the toilets flooded and toilet paper was strewn about like a prank gone wrong. No staff was there to clean up the mess. The club closed promptly at 4 AM. I had no idea it was daylight savings so I got robbed an hour of partying =(. But - there will be a next time =P.
