The Bubble Lounge seems to be a perfect environment for social gatherings. It combines the elements of classy and casual all at the same time. The first floor is the champagne lounge which boasted high ceilings, exposed brick walls, and displays upon displays of delicious champagne bottles. The cozy seating and tables everywhere contributed to the warm inviting atmosphere. You are able to order fresh strawberries, cheese, crackers etc along with your champagne. How nice, right? The lower level was a different story. You descend down a flight of stairs which brings you to a subterranean concrete dance floor with a DJ spinning good top 40's and hip-hop. Of course we spent most of our time down there....dancing the night away with our cocktails in hand. There was a small bar down there as well allowing us easy access to the alcohol! What a great time with the girls last night. We will definitely be back!! No cover charge last night. Big plus.

Ok, so born and raised in Atlanta it's still very hard to find some good Southern food without feeling like your heart is going to explode. South City is a wonderful little spot located right off of busy Peachtree on a little side road that caters to night clubs, bars, and a nice Tapas place. I used to eat at SC every week while I worked in the broadcast business and never had a bad thing to say about the place. The food is wonderful and full of southern soul. The patio is a great place to people watch on a Friday or Saturday and they close it off and heat it in the winter. The wait staff was always very courteous and quick to seat me, and the service was spot on. Highly recommended for some great southern food with a nice city atmosphere.

Ecco's just really good, y'all.  I ate here last night and that was what I realized. I have been to Ecco before but, I am ashamed to say, last night was the first time I actually sat at a table and had a proper meal.  Normally, I sit at the bar and have appetizers, or just have drinks, or do something other than have a proper meal.  But last night, I did it up right. We were kindly seated several minutes earlier than our reservation stipulated.  Our server was delightful.  At first, we thought he might be a bit too verbose but then we settled in and just sponged up the knowledge he was propagating.  He really did seem to know the menu very, very well and was familiar with many of the nuances and considerations which might sway our decisions. We ended up splitting (three of us) the heirloom tomatoes with parmigiano-reggiano; grilled baby romaine with pecorino nocetto and walnuts; and, the fried goat cheese.  The fried goat cheese is, of course, absolutely delish.  I really enjoyed the heirloom tomatoes and baby romaine, too.  The tomatoes were very fresh and flavorful, and the baby romaine had a really nice mix of flavors.  I would order all of them again. My entrée was the fettucine with shrimp, walnuts, basil and ricotta salata.  The fettucine is homemade and this was a really delicious choice.  I normally never, ever eat my entire pasta portion in a restaurant (it's either too big or I make myself stop because I feel guilty about all the carbs).  I finished my pasta last night.  This was because the dish was a) a nice-sized portion which was not too filling and b) yummy enough to make me throw caution to the wind and forget about the guilt. I forgot my guilt so much that I agreed to share a dessert of bread pudding with my friends.  I was so full it hurt when I was done but it was worth it - a very flavorful and delicious bread pudding with almonds and cream and this great syrupy stuff. I also tried my friend's spolettoni with mushroom ragu which was really tasty.  It looked like beef stroganoff but was much lighter and had great mushroom flavor. The wine list is very good and there are several really nice choices by the glass.  They also have good cocktails.  And, the cheeses and pizzas are great, too.  The service was excellent.  Our server was really great - friendly, prompt, efficient, informative and not at all difficult to look at.  And, although it's a bit pricey, it was a great dinner and did not seem out of line considering all the food and wine that I had.  I will definitely return here for drinks, appetizers and, of course, for another proper meal.
