Lime. Is. RIDICULOUS. A friend of mine had made reservations a month or so in advance for (I think) 10 of us. We got there before it opened and Lime already had a line waiting! I didn't really know what to expect but I was giddy with excitement. Our waitress, (Christy?) was really cute and super friendly, I liked her a lot. Once we all sat down we started on the bottomless mimosas. Before our food came, I think all of us had at least four or five of those things, and let me tell you, five of those on an empty stomach at 10:15 am isn't a good thing. (maybe it is...) I MEAN FOR PETES SAKE MY NICKNAME IS TWO DRINK BECCA, WHAT THE HELL ARE YOU DOING DRINKING ALL THAT IN THE MORNING. So I was officially drunk by the time our food came. I couldn't even really eat it, I was just getting ketchup everywhere. I'd tell you how the food tasted if I actually ate it. But everyone in there is a character, everyone dances with each other in the bathroom line, and they bumped N.E.R.D. the entire time I was there. What's not to love? We did stay the entire allotted time, which was two hours. We all probably had about 9 mimosas and I don't know, it was a trainwreck afterwards. There was a german chick with her skirt pretty much pulled to her hips, an African guy who hugged me and danced with me for a good five minutes, and a woman who handed me a bottle of chocolate tea. Our original plan was to take our friends from LA out around SF but obviously Lime prevented that from happened. Everyone was too messed up to do that. We all managed to stumble to Dolores Park SOMEHOW, and all magically passed out on the grass for two hours. I woke up and saw 6 other girls just sleeping on the grass. I don't even really remember how that all happened. (See Dolores Park review.) In all, Lime is awesome. I want to go back, but maybe I'll try and be a little more reserved this time. HAAAAAAY!

The club itself has a nice set-up, by San Francisco standards anyway...large bottom floor perfect to accomodate stageshows, and an upstairs with some seating along the railing and second deejay room. Bars on each floor, and the decorum while not overly stylish is not dirty and decrepite like say the Endup or Club Six. Only downside seems to be the events held here....extremely hit-or-miss. They had alot of big shows here a couple years back, not sure what happened. Before that time it had been at least five years when they had an interesting club lineup. Reading other reviews here I see its primarily an Asian club scene now, perhaps the owners are content with what they have...but I would love to take in another touring performer here as opposed to Slims.
