I haven't been there since middle school for field trips and wow what the UPGRADE. -Rain forest in a dome -Anaconda -Coral reef from the Phillipines - Glass floors with sharks and sting rays - Dinosaur bones hanging from the celling -Lots of unique creatures -Huge space (enclosed in glass architecture) great for parties and events like this ***and must not forget the White Aligator (*** All for only $10 (way cheaper than regular admission of $35). Parking underneath the musuem....$10, not too bad but you can always park on the street if you don't mind the walk. It was super cool that everyone was 21 and up. It kinda felt like a club, a big rateclub party, or even yet a super big holiday party even. There was bars all over the musuem and even a dj spinning all night. Everyone was so cool and friendly...I guess that's what the drinking does to you. It was great seeing the amazement on everyones faces. This event was sold old by the time I got there which was about 7pm, so buy tickets ahead of time. Once you are in try to get tickets to the shows early or else they'll sell out. I was a bit bummed since we didn't get to see planetarium where you site back and look up at the night sky. The rainforest dome closed early at 8pm, so make it one of your first pit stops coz some people missed out on this because they decided to drink before wandering around the musuem. Definitely take advantage of this event during the summer is you live in or close to Frisco. THUSDAYS NIGHTS IN THE SUMMER!!!! My bf and I definitely wanna go back since we didn't get to see everything. Our group ended up running into tons of other friends. It's amazing how everyone is so connected. THIS WAS A BLAST! MAKE SURE TO HAVE A DRINK IN HAND AND YOU WON'T NOTICE HAVING TO WAIT IN THE LONG LINES....
by Arin N. on The drunken fool leg of my SF trip brought me to Harlot. Although I have been to Harlot quite often, this visit warranted a review. After spending a day at the racetrack and an evening at the theater, I needed to get my drink on. I got there after my friends had already arrived, since they ditched out on the play we were watching early. We had table service (douchebag bankers) right in front of the dance floor. Harlot, true to its name, has pictures of nice old-timey hookers on the wall and the its present clientele could be mistaken for a Harlot at times. The decor is actually really nice and dark and the bar is pretty large. The dj plays a good mix and the dance floor is always packed. When I got there the party was already in full swing and I had to catch up on drinking. After about 4 shots of straight vodka and 3 really really stiff vodka cranberries I was good to go. The douchey bankers were all sitting down talking business (I hate that), so I decided to grab a few girls and hit the floor - and this is where the night went pretty blank on me. All I remember is shaking some serious ass and the highlight of the night was when a black guy came up to me as I was dancing with 3 girls and said "damn white boy, you got some moves." End of night for me. If anyone saw a dorky like white kid there that night, please fill in the rest of the details of the night for me. Thanks. P.S. - Harlot is also a good place for a few after work drinks with coworkers and if you stay long enough if become a great place to party for the night. P.P.S. - the upstairs VIP area is really cool too (first time I was up there was with the always sexy Janney B.)
