The boyfriend and I came here to get our drank and dance on! $20 cover no matter what, didn't have to wait too long in line. I loved the dancers... ugh their bodies are so hot. Mmmm booty. And they had male dancers too! I loved the music that played. So basically we danced our asses off :). They had chocolate covered strawberries and tacos. What's this I don't even. Tacos were a bit too spicy for me... but it's the fact that they had tacos. At a club. Awesome. What a great night!
by Werner Steele on The good: - we didn't have to pay a cover because our names were on the guestlist - mixed crowd - played awesome hip hop in the main room - really chill place, lots of places to sit when you're feet start to hurt in your heels - awesome, friendly, attentive bartenders The bad: - drinks were not spectacular. had raspberry lemon drop & lychee shots, which were $10 each...$10 a drink is the typical price for drinks in the Mission, but at least make them good drinks! The ugly: - the annoying, uptight females near the bathroom line who were complaining we were loud...it's a club, not a library, people.
by Ben G. on The GAMH spoils you. It spoils you because you see what IS possible in a mid-sized music venue that can pull in top acts. It IS possible to have a gorgeous interior, friendly staff, AND a very good sound system. It IS possible to keep the business end going and NOT have to oversell shows so the venue is packed like a can of sardines. Minus points for being located in the Tenderloin. Plus points because of its proximity to Naan N Curry for a pre-gig vindaloo fix and the fact that, because it's in the TL, you get some great crackhead-bum entertainment while waiting in line to get in.
