Everyday special 5$ Margarita. Friendly bartender +++ Didn't try the food ( give me excuse to come back) My guess is a good place to chill if you want to have fun watching people riding the bull, then come during the weekend ! I will bookmarked it as my first Williamsburg local bar :-) !

Wow talk about a Grand Opening. The lines were ridiculous. Got in pretty quickly thanks to my gorgeous girlfriends. Drank Johnny Black all night and was surprised that drinks weren't overpriced. The sound system rocked the house and the crowd was beautiful and friendly...or maybe I was just drunk. Met the russian mafia and had a drink with them. What a ridiculous night. I don't know if I'd go back as I don't think I can hang with the young'uns like I used to.

In preparation for the big move to Tel Aviv, I came to Zahav to check out their Israeli cuisine and was very pleasantly surprised. First off - the menu has two options for tasting menus. Option 1: Choose one dish from each of three categories, plus salatim and hummus and a dessert ($36) . Option 2: the true chef's tasting, in which the chef picks all your meals (including their feature lamb dish) - $42. If you go a la carte, they recommend 3-4 dishes per person, plus salatim/hummus... this isn't really true. Most people would have trouble finishing this much food. We ordered the salatim/hummus starter, 2 small dishes and 3 main dishes (all to share for 2 people). This was really filling and didn't leave room for dessert. My favorite dishes- the beets with tahini (part of the salatim), fried cauliflower, crispy haloumi, and the "Turk" main dish (similar to the middle eastern Kefta). Other pointers: The side room is a bit more quiet than the main room. Reservations are a must. Arak is an acquired taste... only order if you like anise-flavored drinks (like Jäger, Ouzo, Absinthe, etc..)
