I had one of the WORST experiences at a show ever, here. I'm 5'7" and weigh 120 and was ATTACKED by one of the bouncer/security people who was working the JFK of Mstrkrft sets on Thursday 2/3/11 while I was literally turning around to leave the venue at around 1:30am. Mind you I go to a show at least once a week and have been for the past 6 years or so and have never been in/started a fight. This piece of $hit confused me for trying to start a fight (again, I was leaving the venue with 2 friends to go home and in no way was trying to go out with a physical "bang" of any kind) Out of nowhere two steps after turning around to walk out,  I was grabbed from behind very aggressively and dragged through the audience not knowing what the hell was going on. My friends left behind not knowing what was going on.  My feet weren't even touching the ground. I wasn't  simply escorted out, I was made not to walk! I was dragged roughly outside and thrown on the ground with an insane amount of force and then pinned (it happened so fast and i never had any opportunity to fight back or move in any way. i was being dragged!). I screamed at him asking what I did and yelling that he was out of control to the employees around him and him! He claimed that I tried to start a fight and taunted me about being on the ground saying I "tripped!" This guy is a maniac!!!! and clearly a liability! The anger this guy showed made me feel like he was on steroids or coked out or something, maybe someone who receives pleasure out of knocking someone around, he had no sympathy for hurting me. It was insane! I called the police and unfortunately there was not much they could do, they recommended I send pictures of my marks which are still with me. I will be contacting the Better business bureau and telling everyone I know what happened. I will never return as long as they employ people like this who are clearly violent maniacs. I have BRUISES ALL OVER THE RIGHT SIDE OF MY BODY WHERE I WAS SLAMMED TO THE GROUND! I also have bruises on my arms where I was grabbed. This should never happen, I don't care if there was a fight or not, there are humane and professional ways to be removed from a place and this was NOT ACCEPTABLE! There are too many amazing venues here in SF to bother with this one and their ghetto employees. If management see's this, contact me and make it right!

First let me say how much I love Bobby Flay. He made pumpkin soup with chocolate on Iron Chef and I instantly became a big fan. I have his books, I watch Throw Down, I even visited the Pop Shop because of the show. But his burger palace was a bit disappointing. His name is on the door but after that it is just another burger place. I traveled nearly thirty miles, got stuck in city traffic, and then waited an hour in line for pretty much the same burger I could have gotten from my local Ruby Tuesday. I think I was expecting food that tasted a little more chef prepared. The selections are unusual enough and definitely got my taste buds curious but basically this is chain food. LIkewise the sweet potato fries are also a good idea but the regular french fries were more like potato sticks. If I lived nearby I would go again but this really isn't was I was expecting. Maybe there was too much hype but I don't think I will be back.

Just got back from house night on Thursdays at Lava. I had a good time. Lava is half of the Lava/Cosmopolitian combo on the corner of 13th Street. A three story club, I only went to the main level and the basement. Upstairs is the VIP section. The main level is a plush lounge filled with leather seats where you can relax after a hards day work at the office or spend some quality time with that cutie you met on the dance floor downstairs. There is a large bar by the window to get your drink on if need be. Downstairs is the dance floor with all the fixins. DJ booth - check . Large plush couch - check. Bar with alcohol - check. Bathroom - check. When you enter the cashier will ask for your email address so they can let you know about whats going on in the future. The best part of the club hands down were the people. Friendly, talkative and encouraging. I actually got on the floor and vogued a bit without feeling a bit self-conscious about not having any rhythm. Parking $5.00 Cover $15.00 Drink : Purple Motherf*cker $8.00 (He made a blue mother with rasberry pucker instead)
