Ugh, Lime! What did you do to me? I tried blaming Janet Jackson, but it's not her fault that they played "when I think of you" and the entire restaurant lost it. People were dancing on tables. People were walking out of the restrooms in pairs. And some bride-to-be was making this probably one of the most memorable brunches ever (white veil included). Lastly, their spark plugs (chilled espresso, vanilla vodka and kahlua) were absolutely delish! Before I knew it, 4 hours had gone by and we were still there with 6 new best friends??!! I do remember the bill or I remember that we had ordered 48 spark plugs to a table that started as 3 and ended as 7 or 8!!?? Lime, you have made it to my list of way too much fun for one day or one lifetime. You've been added to my list of places that I can never go back again:(

Oh man...I really struggled with picking between 3 and 4 stars on this one. I did in fact have an amazing night on Thursday and I recommend everyone checks it out at least once...but there were a few things that I did find a bit irritating....lets start with the good... Kudos --This is one of the most amazing museums and offers truly stunning architecture --I heart aquariums at night, especially with a cocktail in hand and live bands playing throughout the exhibit --Penquins and Albino Alligators!! --$10 tickets for the event when going to the center is usually over $30 --Bars and snacks available in every corner so there was never an issue with lines --Dancing our butts off in the Global Warming exhibit...I wonder if we contributed? And of course, THE BAD --Definately buy your tix online before hand, I saw tons of people getting turned away as it was sold out --WAY too many people! Holy smokes, certain exhibits were definate fire hazards --Drink prices...ok I know what to expect going to something like this, but felt that $8 for 6oz's of cheap wine was sorta lame --Parking prices. $11 for two to three hours? I thought we deserved some sort of discount for squeezing five of us into a Jetta and carpooling! Go Green!! Overall, a fun night out. The crowd was young and fun, the academy is an amazing feat in green architecture and the exhibits are fun and unique. My personal fave was the contraption that you stuck your arm into to feel a simulation of a boa constrictor squeezing its prey (i.e. your arm). I couldn't get out!! :-)

I've driven by, walked by, bussed by this place at least a thousand times since I've lived here and never once went it. Well folks I ventured in here about a week or so ago. I herd they had some off the wall reggae, 2tone, ska, rocksteady DJ's that go in there. Come to find out it's a night called "Fire Corner" every first and third Saturdays! And it's AMAZING!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! The place itself is small and cozy lots of room to sit at the bar or at the little tables. BIG clean bathroom and strong drinks at a reasonable price. But the main reason to go is for the DJ's! The bartenders are awesome and efficient in that packed bar I didn't have to wait long at all before my drinks were poured! This is definatley one of my new favorite finds!
