by Colleen M. on Such a wonderful place to go with a group of friends - very affordable, too. Do the "endless wine" option. It's so worth it, and fun to try different wines! Food is good - I like getting a small plate of pasta and a salad. The small plate is more than enough. Desserts are out of this world!!!! What's great with a group is being able to share desserts and see how they all taste. The pot de creme, peanut butter and chocolate, lemon pie, etc. It's all outstanding. Only complaint was that out waitress would take our empty glasses of wine, run them under water and then pour a a new glass (or, from all the water droplets that were on the glass when she brought it back, that's what I deducted). Or so I thought - I was contacted by the restaurant after writing this review and they let me that they don't do that, but, the glass should have been wiped dry. All's well that ends well. Other than that, enjoy!
by Kip Kennet on NOTE: This location has moved to Burnet Rd. in the plaza by Dallas nightclub. For anybody that has lived in Austin since at least the late '80s, Hill-Bert's is like a friend you forget about until you run into them again. And then you're happy to see them. There is nothing earth shattering about the food at Hill-Bert's, but it's comforting. They are part of Austin's simpler food foundation. Decent enough burgers and crisp fries served by true locals. A lot of people have many negative things to say about Hill-Bert's, yet like so many other things that are truly Austin, Hill-Bert's is a personal favorite. The menu is diverse enough to offer satisfying artery-hardening fare that will send you running for a dose of lipitor that you can wash down with one of their good milkshakes. So for all the trendy nouveau burger joints popping up around town, which do serve good burgers, it's comforting to know that an old friend is still around when you want something simpler. And how 'bout that yellow and brown paint scheme?!
by Noble Perfect on Rumor has become a staple in Boston nightlife. The VIP hospitality is so excellent, this club stays packed with gorgeous people night after night. VIP Tables get a dedicated waitress to serve them. It's like having a personal beautiful bartender who will hang with you, dance with you, or just stand there and pour your drinks!
