by Kimberly H. on My review will be slightly skewed as I visited on the night the SF Giants won the World Series... ...but holy heck SOOO much Bay Love concentrated in one little dive bar!!! Aside from Jameson ($8/shot), this place BLED Black and Orange!!! Can't speak for the food...but its as if lighted beer signs threw up all over this place. The bar is sticky, glasses are littered everywhere, and the bartenders are easily swayed when the crowd gets going and its reached maximum capacity. Formalities aside, it was a fun night out and now...the Bay Area expats can now find a home away from home where they won't have to silent their wooos for when the 49ers score, internalize their "YES!'s" when the Warriors make a basket, or do a mini air punch out of fear when the Giants take home another win. Welcome Home!
by Eddie Ginns on I must say I'm kinda sad Trudy's only has a 3.5 star average...but then I guess not EVERYTHING there is good...but here are 5 excellent things here, each warranting a star on their own: 1) Mexican Martinis 2) Stuffed avocado with suiza 3) The green salsa 4) Queso especial 5) Ciro's special I'm sure there are things on their menu that aren't that great but the food, drinks, and atmosphere makes it one of Austin's gems. Can't wait to go back on my next trip to Austin.
