by Victor Kist on Stepped in a few days ago for an afternoon cold one. I was interested in the glassware as it represents some of Philly's most infamous...EA Poe, Bill Cosby, Fumo, among others. Funny. The bartender was cool, talked my date into trying something she hasn't yet and we got a decent bite to eat as well. Cool place, nice vibe, even though it was pretty empty. All in all, I was happy we stopped in.
by Art Bierwagen on Oslo is one of those special places you wish there more of , but that wouldn't make them very special would it? Every time I'm in Detroit I go to Oslo except for that one year when it was closed. :( The downstairs is where it's at. The bar has a killer beer selection and the times I've spent there were special. Wether it was Richie and Luciano's unofficial afterhours after the festival one year or Cheap Sunglasses this year it's always been a place I look forward to visiting and if you get hungry the sushi is pretty damn good and one thing I think you can only find in detroit is when the kitchen closed , one year the sushi chef was warming up downstairs for the next dj to come on. Seriously?! come on. I can't wait to go back.
