You definitely have to be in the mood for this place. Don't come for brunch hungry, unless you're smart and made reservations the day before. My friend had explained that we'd be drinking all day and starting off here. She did her best to prepare me for what I was about to witness, but it's just one of those things you need to experience firsthand. At 11am I was starving. I'm visiting from the Midwest, so it's already 1pm in my mind and stomach. We get there around noon and wait, and wait, and wait. It took half an hour just to put our names down and by this point I'm about to grab a skinny gay guy and have him for breakfast. There were some petite ones I could have overpowered. My friends are living it up. They love this place. It's noon and I feel like I'm at a disco. Lady Gaga and Ke$ha are playing. Girls are dancing with each other. Metro men are laughing it up with their buddies. Mimosas and Bloody Marys are all around. I'm having none of it. I just want some food. Where is my bacon? Where are the pancakes? God dammit, why didn't we go to IHOP? WTF? Now it's 2pm and we're being seated. I've studied the menu carefully and know exactly what I want. I want five of everything by this point. But our server Massimo comes over and starts filling up the mimosas and takes our orders right away. He quickly returns with all of our food and it is GLORIOUS! OK, now I see what this is all about. Eggs and cheese, amazing little biscuits, thick cut bacon, seasoned potatoes and dessert pancakes. I get it now! I'll be back here to drink, dance and devour again!

Cercle used to be known as Le Prive. Over the past few years, they have desperately tried to revamp their image as a "Ktown club" and enter the LA nightlife scene as a happening night spot. However, they failed to realize that they still had a large clientele who expect them to be a Koreanized Club. This means that they expect their waiters to offer "Booking" (speed dating facilitated by the waiters). I would NOT RECCOMEND this place for anyone who expects an Amercanized club setting. This place is really more for people who understand the culture of the Korean Club. K-Town Club Terminology: Booking - Waiters will drag girls to the tables of men to talk and drink. You do not have to stay. In fact, you do not have to go. Just say no. Table - a majority of the people who are at Cercle buy bottle service at a table. In a Hollywood club, tables might make up 20% of the floor real eastate, but at a Korean Club the majority of the space will be taken by tables, booths and private rooms. Anju (korean for Drinking Appetizer) - All bottles are accompanies by a fruit platter or appetizer platter of choice. Cautionary Notes: 1. If you are a group of females that uses the "Promo Table", expect to be forcefully booked. They let you into the club for less than the cover charge at a hollywood clubs ($50 bucks for a table of 4 girls) and gave you a free 375ml bottle of whiskey. Did you think that you were that pretty? Sorry, no Free Lunch... unless you really are that pretty =) 2. Men, don't be douchey. Just because the waiter brought a girl to your table does not mean you have to treat her like a hooker. I personally would rather not participate in the "Korean Clubbing Tradition" of booking. 3. Pay for your bill up front, because the waiters have been known to fudge the bill when you are drunk. (i.e. add extra bottles to your tab)
