This place is absolutely horrible, me and my friends went for my birthday and all of the bouncers were incredibly rude and called my friend a bitch to her face. We pre paid and the day manager said that we would be on the VIP list so we wouldn't have to wait in line, but that was a lie. We waited in line for a over an hour and when we got to the front of the line they wouldn't let some of my friends in even though we pre paid. When the people who could get in went inside the dance floor was full of creepy old men. I would not recommend this place to anyone unless they want their night ruined by bouncers thinking they are so cool that they own the whole sidewalk and yell at you for walking by. I have two word for the people at Ruby Skye...CUSTOMER SERVICE, try it next time.

People generally like this place because there is no cover and the music is alright. It is also on a picturesque side street, which makes people feel like they are going somewhere "alternative" or "special." I'm personally not that excited about Tavern. The downstairs is an old-school piano bar thing, emphasis on old (not a place for young guys). I find it a bit corny with the people gathered around the piano singing "showtunes." My friends and I always bee-line upstairs, where there is often a line to get onto the dance floor. Up there, it is loud, crowded, and the bar buts right up against the dance area, so it is all very hectic. Don't expect to have a conversation with anyone, but do wear something you won't mind a few drinks being spilled on. If you're very drunk, the dancing can be fun. If you're not drunk, you may want to stay home.
