by Winnie C. on Why all that hype about this place? Yeah ... I know ... it's a hip place to see and be seen. The tapa offerings are actually quite good. The drinks, however, are pretty watered down. The service is so-so ... and then it got worst (read on). The place magically turns into a night club some time after 11PM or so? Our party was seated close to the kitchen area, which also happens to be the dance floor. While the DJ was setting up, we were asked to move to the side of the room and finish our desserts there (we had already begun eating them at the time). Once we agreed, the waiter brought our desserts with all the spoons that's still on the table and moved them all to a side table. Usually not much of an issue, but he never offered us fresh spoons and we ended up having to either skip it altogether, or pick up a random spoon on the table and finish up eating. No water or anything else was offered. Not impressed overall, unless you like women wearing short short dresses and high high heels, or one yourself.
by Latashia Volz on I have heard mixed reviews about Jimmy John's. A lot of people seem to hate it, but I just can't see why. I've gotten the Turkey Tom five times there, and I will probably be getting another this afternoon. Get it with cheese if you try it. I love this place. It is SO FAST. I usually roll up and have my sandwich within four minutes. They literally make it faster than the credit card takes to process. Also, it's CHEAP. Like five bucks for a large sandwich. FInally,for the Turkey Tom at least, it seems to be HEALTHY. There's mayo on it, but besides this it is a fairly nutritious, filling sandwich. Love the bread.
