This place definitely holds the older crowd. On Friday and Saturday nights it takes forever to get drinks if you're not sitting at a table. The lines at the bar are so long because the bartenders are all making specialty drinks. Well, it is a martini bar. Dirty and dry martinis are only $5 and their froo-froo martinis are about $8-9. Prices really aren't that bad, but this is probably not where I'd want to spend a Fri or Sat night. Maybe on a more low-key night. While we were there, the music came from people singing on some sort of open mic night. Awkward sounds of people singing way off-key. They only take Visa and Mastercard - leave your AMEX at home.

Midnight Blues in Waterville is a fun place. live music every friday night, mixed age group. Some of the cute Colby College kids go there to hang out. It can get a bit rowdy in the early hours

girl: can you please stop pushing me? douchey girl and guy: *purposely pushes girl to be dicks* girl: CAN YOU STOP?? i'm serious. douchey girl and guy: *pushes girl again thinking it was funny* girl: *GRABS douche girl's hair, wraps it around her fist, pulls douche girl's head towards her, punches her twice in the face, and pushes her head back* douche girl: *starts crying* hahahahahaha... i bet you didn't think it was funny after that, did you? cause i sure did! no. for real though, violence isn't the answer. and incase you were wondering, the douchey couple got kicked out and missed the Lady Gaga show. i also came here for M.I.A.'s concert and it was a great show as well. i love the Mezz because: 1) it's a smaller venue for concerts, so it's a bit more intimate... but isn't a matchbox. 2) after shows, you can hang out as if you were at a normal club 3) champagne. 4) the shows are usually 21 and up, so you don't have to deal with these annoying ass teenagers you usually see at concerts (no offense to the nice girls who bought their tickets but couldn't get in to see Lady Gaga cause they weren't 21... sorry!) i also came here for a trade show once and it was fun as well. seeing local designers, photographers, and jewelery makers here all while a DJ plays music was a cool experience. kind of like going to a swap meet, but more hip. anyways... all i have to say is anytime there's a show here at the Mezz, it's bound to be a great time.
