by Cl B. on I was so disappointed with the experience at Yoshi's. The food was actually terrible. And it costs a lot. BAD COMBO! For a 'Japanese Restaurant' the sushi was gross... and I love sushi and know good, well-made sushi from rushed, 'they'll never notice', grossly constructed sushi. Everything was served on massive plates which made the portions look even smaller than they were, and after trying a bit of everything, I kind of wanted to send it all back and leave without paying. I didn't do either, but I will never return to Yoshi's and will dissuade others from going there. Bummed!
by Porter Bruch on A bit less hip than Might, but still. They get the performers that getcha movin'. I saw Dr. Octagon there a few weeks ago. Needless to say I was fafafafaded, and just feeling this act with all of the dope hip-hop that rocks my soul. White boys can dance!!! They have a back area where you can smoke as well. I have seen several shows here. Some where not so great, but that is my bad for picking a bad night. The drinks are over priced and watered down. But what do you expect from any dance club in SF. Thank god for Mighty and Mezzanine for withiout which I would have given up on the dance culture in the City.
