by Richard T. on This club would be pretty good if not for the rude security personnel. I'll start off with the things Infusion has to offer. Good decor, nice bartenders, and patrons that seem to just want to have a fun time. Now for the bad. Besides the overpriced, watered down drinks, security is extremely rude. It seems like they were all prison guards earlier in their career because that is how they treated my friends and I. "Stand here and wait for him to waive you in" was what the woman at the door told us. When we got inside, we saw two rooms; one was where the bar was and the other was the dance floor. Everyone went to the dance floor and were just waiting for the music until security came up from behind us and told us we had to get out of that room. At the end of the night, a friend had too much to drink and went outside. Our other friend was holding her up and a woman told them they had to get off of the sidewalk and tried to drag both of them away. When my friend yanked her arm from the woman's grip, she called in her goons. Long story short, it would have been a good night if not for the disrespectful door trolls.
by Max Muecke on Went on a Saturday night. I got one entree (Jambalaya) and it was really good. The free drink was tasty but what turned me off was all the women on the dance floor either dancing with each other or by themselves while the men held up the wall. Maybe men are tired of getting turned down by women but come on!!!! A few men joined the women on the floor and danced but for the most part the women were doing their own thing while all the men were walking around in their suits looking around. The club is nice and the crowd was dressed nice. Age range was about mid twenties to mid forties. I did not have a great time, but it was not the worse time either. That was my first time there and I have not been back since, so I guess that says allot too, but you may like it.
by Carey Reinowski on For some reason I always thought Fluid was one of those terrible Delaware Avenue clubs, so when my friend told me I should meet her at Fluid for a bhangra party, I thought "Great. My least favorite music at a contender for my least favorite place!" Being a masochist, I ran 15 blocks through the freezing cold to meet her there anyway. Apparently this place is actually cool! Tucked right off of South Street, the party was definitely going off. The crowd was pretty lame, but they seemed to be having fun anyway. Good drink specials, and the bar area reminded me a little of the cave-ness of my dearly departed Arrow Bar (RIP). The whole time I couldn't help but think that I'd love to go to a party here that actually played good music, and it turns out that they have those too! I'll definitely have to check out Tastytreats and SEX DWARF. Though, judging from the pictures of Sex Dwarf, Philly new wavers care much less about their appearance than SFers. What's up with that? Isn't your outfit half the fun?
