Salsa night was fun, but the place got crowded very, very quickly. Salsa dancing doesn't work so well considering the good dancers needed a 10 foot radius to do all the moves in. I did have fun at the free lesson, and getting in for free certainly helped. The space is fun and decorated nicely and the well drinks aren't half bad. I just wish there was more dance floor and less bar - the bar takes up more than half of the main room!

Went here randomly with a group of friends. OK to start: People here are so messed up and ghetto-sh*t. I say this because someone jacked my friend's phone right out of his holder on his pants. The just walked past him and then SWOOP. It was gone. My friend thought it was the girl that walked by him, but it wasn't her... So he lost his phone for good that night. How ghetto is that? Pretty ghetto if you ask me. I can't believe people have nothing else to do at a CLUB. ANYWAYS: As I was standing in line, I noticed that the crowd was... a bit more... how can I say... Hip-Hoppish? A lot of Asians which is fine with me since I'm Asian myself. The bouncers were nice and the line moved pretty quick when I got there (10:30), which is always a plus especially if you're trying to make guestlist. Stepped inside and it was REALLY dark and small. I was a little disappointed because the the pictures were a little deceiving, but when are they not? Super hot and crowded for a small venue such as Icon. I LOVED the music they were playing that night. It wasn't TOP 40 the whole night. The DJ's spun some old hip hop from back in the day (for me it was back in the day since I'm only 22). Stuff like "Shake It Like a Salt Shaker" and more Lil Jon & the Eastside Boys stuff. It was pretty awesome and brought me back to my highschool days. It was VERY refreshing to hear something else other than Rihanna and T.I. haha Drinks were ok I think. I had 2 rounds of the same drink so I don't know what the prices are for others. The first time I ordered, the bartender knew what it was, but to save money, she REALLY wussed out on the 151 so I personally think that the drink wasn't really worth the $10. The other bartender didnt' know what it was so I described it to her and she made the correct way, but charged $12 instead of $10, which I think was a better deal even though it was $2 more. What really sucks is that, they give you a stamp when you come in... but when my friends and I went outside to have a smoke and get some damn air, the guy at the door said that if we wanted to get back in, then we'd better hurry because it's getting packed. THEN WHAT'S THE POINT IN GIVING US STAMPS IF YOU ARE JUST GOING TO KICK US OUT? I don't understand it and if there is someone out there that does, please enlighten me? I would only come back here if I had to.. For example, a friend's bday/event. But I wouldn't go back here just for kicks.
