Very friendly neighborhood bar. Definitely would recommend Mike, the bar tender. He makes some great drinks. They have a happy hour that is great. The funnest late night to be here is Friday nights. Friday nights are wall-to-wall people that are all out having just a great time. Varied ages but mostly in the late 20s and 30s. After hitting this place on a Friday night, I could see why so many people are in there that night. It was truly a blast. The bar offers pool tables in the back. Certain nights there are shows (drag). Amateur strip contests on Friday nights. The staff (especially Mike) is wonderful and make your drinks with an octane rating!

Let me preface this by stating this place is TOTALLY not my scene at all, but I had a relative in town from out of the country who wanted to check this place out so I had to go against my will. Guys & Dolls is definitely a place for those who want to see and be seen. Within 10 minutes of getting there, my group and I ran into a well-known actor and super famous R&B singer. I don't know how hard it is to get in on weekends, but we had a hook-up at the door so we walked right in. It was incredibly packed on a Tuesday night, and ladies definitely outnumber the dudes. I loved the booths all along the wall but the tables in the middle of the floor were unnecessary and made it really hard to walk around. The DJ played only one or two songs that I like, but everyone else seemed to be really into him so if you're into top 40, KIIS-FM type stuff, then you'll like it here. I would never come back here because the people are not my crowd at all, but if you're into the Hollywood scene, want to see some celebs up close and personal, or you love guys who rock Ed Hardy from head to toe, then I'm sure you'll have a better time here than I did.

Hands down the worst lounge in San Francisco. I was forced to attend this dump for a friend's birthday party.  Never again, and that goes for everyone that came. - I hate hate hate when the line outside a bar is so long, it seems to wrap around the block, making the wait seem endless.  However, once you enter the bar, there's no one inside.  WTF, why is it so fucking empty?  That is some bullshit! -The birthday guest list closes at 11:30, it is 11:27 and you are going to tell me that it's fucking closed?  Again, that is some bullshit.  "Well, I understand that it is not 11:30 yet but the guy with the clipboard standing outside for the guest list is no longer sitting in his designated area so technically the guest list is now closed."  I was so furious and I tried to talk to management but my friend told me to woosa because he didn't want us to get thrown out before even making it inside.  But seriously, word of advice to management: YOU NEED TO BE MORE FUCKING ORGANIZED AND YOU ALSO NEED TO FOLLOW WHAT YOU ADVERTISE. -The cover was $20.  WTF?  This bar is smaller than my fucking garage and the sound system sucks, my stereo sounds better than your pathetic speakers.  Yet, you are charging $20?  You're lucky I am a good friend and I keep my promise to attend his birthday party, but shit, you need to start keeping your own damn promises...11:30 my ass.  To add to that, the fucking ATM machine was broken so they made us leave the building and use the fucking ATM machine next door.  That is some BULLSHIT!  No wonder your ass is charging so fucking much, you can't even afford repairing your ATM machine. -I don't understand the concept of patting all of us down, including the females.  They did it twice for us?  Supposedly, I look like a fucking threat.  To begin, this bar is located in a "safe" area in SF, the fucking crowd consists of Asian nerds...but of all places in SF, this is one of the only bars I've been to that is ridiculously tight with security. Unnecessary and hilarious, especially after looking at the crowd: H.T.M.'s (for those that understand). I can bitch more and more about this pathetic "lounge" but I'm sure this place will go out of business give or take 2 to 3 years...hopefully sooner. As far as the birthday boy and all of our friends, most of us ended up leaving by 12:30 to go to another bar.  Yes, it was just, well, THAT BAD. Save yourself some time, money, and effort by taking your business ELSEWHERE. -If I could...ZERO-kiss my ass stars.
