by Moses Wakham on Came with my wife and my ma for lunch on a typically rainy monday afternoon. I had probably the most fantastic bbq pulled pork sandwich that I have tasted in the past quarter century. I have dined at dreamland and full moon bbq in Alabama, but the sandwich here was absolutely blissful and one of the few good things to happen to me in an otherwise lousy day. My wife had ---- I don't remember. But she liked it.... My mom had the she crab soup which was very good. It had a nice amount of sherry in it and it wasn't too fishy. The server never brought out bread even though we requested it multiple times, and he didn't bring out our appetizer after we ordered it, which was annoying. Either way, I look forward to my return to South City Kitchen, it was definitely a winner.
by Darell Frautschi on Make that 4 1/2...at least for today. We've been here before, but today they got it absolutely right. Jules had the shrimp salad. I'll have to post the picture of the licked-clean plate! The shrimp was expertly seasoned and the rest of the salad had a perfect potpourri of savory and sweet. I had the chicken crespelles (Italian crepes). I enjoyed them without a doubt, although Jules thought they were slightly lacking in flavor. That boy is hard to please. Good job, Cafe Lift! We'll be back...
by Kris H. on Salsa dance all nite!! Weekdays are less crowded of course. Weekends usually have live bands. They upgraded there floor so that is awesome. Generally more men then women in the club. It does however get too hot and two fans are just not enough to keep the crowd cool on the dance floor. I wish they had fans in the ladies restroom.
