Trudy's is my Austin staple. After all these years and all the margaritas and wannabe Mexican martinis I've had, I still love Trudy's the absolute best. To me, Trudy's is a part of Austin and UT that can never be satisfied by another joint, whether it be in Dallas, Houston, or any other place in Texas. The chips and salsa have always been fresh and you can't go wrong with the Mexican Martinis. mmmm, Mexican Martinis are so good, I wish they let you have more than 2 in a one seating. The food itself is also very good Tex-Mex. I always love the Chicken Chipotle, Fish Tacos, or any type of Migas. Nowadays when I visit Austin, I always try to make Trudy's my first meal.

The most authentic sushi I've tasted in Atlanta... bar none! I have no idea what bar none means but I'm sure it has it's place in the previous sentence. If you want a super crunchy roll... get the fuck out! This place is hardcore, they like it raw baby. The ankimo and hotate appetizer (monkfish liver and scallops) is easily one of the best dishes. It comes thinly sliced and drizzled with ponzu and truffle oil... bombs. The misses and I always get the omakase sashimi. Too much fish to remember but everything on the place was arranged so beautifully you'd feel bad to mess with it. But we destroyed it with some of the special soy sauce Chef Hayakawa offered. Service has been on point so far, but if you come in starving the chefs may be a little slow to your liking. But your tummy will be gracious with your patience. Dinner for 2 always runs us 90-110 with tip. That includes the higher priced appetizers and omakase sashimi. We just love raw fish. GO NOW... DO IT
