Alright so i did count down the days till i obtained my I.D indicating that it was time for a young 18 year old Ms. Marie to be enamored with the Downtown LA nightlife. And of course my first choice was Das Bunker. Now, i have not been attending the dance club for a recognizable long time but i have been attending long enough to know that it is slowly but surely changing into a small rave packed in the booney's of Pico Blvd just passing downtown LA. Das Bunker does have it's charms however! with very friendly bartenders, helpful security, 3 dance floors dedicated to EBM, the "retro" room bumping old tunes from KMFDM to Wolfshiem (My favorite room at Das Bunker may i add) ;) and powernoise, The Catch One fails to stay empty every Friday night because of Das Bunker. It's also the venue of many notable Industrial and EBM bands to perform at . (HIGHLY SUGGESTED TO ARRIVE AT 11 IF YOU WANT TO SEE THE PLACE AT IT'S FUN PEAK) My only problems with Das Bunker are the types of people who come to the night club. Old, pervy men coming to hit on some young goth tail, pretentious DJ's who play the EXACT SAME SET LIST EVERY FRIDAY in the main room, and horribly cheesy polls for poll dancing which in my opinion i think is in such horrible distaste and just plain unsanitary due to multiple girls and body parts rubbed against them. Das Bunker is in no way clean in fact it is the dirtiest club i have ever walked into with almost one drunk person passed out in a stall. I also would like to add (or in this case suggest) a strict dress code for this particular night! I mean, HELLO! are you really gonna come to a goth club dressed in a blue LA jersey, jeans, and a baseball hat?! NO! Keep the aesthetic at least. Come in either punk, cyber, goth, Victorian, steampunk or any other alternative side of fashion but NOT in your typical LA Native uniform. Also, be prepared to park a block away from the club. Unless if you want to show up super early where there isnt really anything intresting to see... Regardless of negative connotations towards the night club, come to Das Bunker if you have nothing to do on a friday night or would like to converse with various people and have a drink or two and listen to a quaint selection of EBM and Industrial. however don't keep it as an every Friday act. trust me, you might get bored
