We LOVE San Francisco Bakery and Cafe. The cinnamon rolls (made from croissant dough) are to die for. The veggie omelets have real, chunky vegetables in them. The sourdough toast is divine. My fiance enjoys the clam chowder in a bread bowl, and I swear they have the best French onion soup in town. Their baguettes are amazing and perfect. I could go on and on. We are there every Saturday, and really missed them when they were closed this week for the baker's wedding, but we understand. Go for breakfast, brunch, or lunch. You won't be disappointed!

I'd always heard good things about Pure, but sometimes the hype about Mexican joints is more than they deserve (I'm talking about you, Taqueria del Sol). The new location of Pure is in Inman Park, near Zaya and Parish. They have indoor and outdoor areas, and a smallish parking lot in the back. I had the Tostada de "Tinga," which had two tostadas topped with lettuce, guac, shredded chipotle chicken, sour cream, and crema. It was quite good, and my friend enjoyed his chicken taquitos. The service was friendly and quick, so no complaints there. Oh, and I had a random celebrity spotting there, as well: Tony Hale (Buster Bluth from Arrested Development). Definitely a place I want to return to soon.

Okay I saw four negative reviews for Pure Nightclub. It is true that most clubgoers like to go out for the drinks, no cover, and dress like they are going to the supermarket. But the reason for that is because you have to admit, this is a college town. Pure may not have been the best nightclub to go dancing in the world, but it was a great relief from all the bars full of smelly drunks and loud rock music. Sometimes a club has to have a cover charge to prevent overfilling with children and the atmosphere was slightly more upscale which made me feel better about wearing my nice suit out for a change. The music can improve with more dance and freestyle although it was not that bad.
