I'm addicted to their homemade hot sauce. They need to bottle it up and sell it, for real. I always tell myself to try something new when I go but I never do because their breakfast burrito is the sh*t. The best breakfast burrito I've ever tasted....and add their hot sauce to the mix and you get pure perfection. For brunch, I always have to have a sweet with my salty and they make it so easy with their yummy pancakes and french toast. The fresh whipped cream and fruit are just the cherries on top. You can tell they use fresh ingredients and cook their food with lots-o-love. Oh, and it's BYOB!

So, my girlfriends and I went here for a pre-birthday bash. The decor is interesting. . .it's dark inside but the elements on the walls are shiny and silver. . .it reminded me more of an Indian inspired design than Mexican. There is, however, part of the ceiling full of fancy mariachi hats . . .gaudy? I think so, but adds to the flavor of the overall establishment. They also had a projection of a movie playing. The friend I shared a plate with ordered the vegetarian quesadillas. . .I don't know if it was because I was hungry, but I thought it was pretty damn decent. Cheesey, but not overwhelmingly so, and the cheese wasn't stringy or rubbery at all. The bell peppers were soft, sweet, and with a nice texturey crunch to them. I tried another girlfriend's corn chowder (I think that's what it was). . .it was thick, creamy and delicately sweet. Mmn, so good. Best thing is, they give you freshly fried red tortilla chips and three different types of salsa to try from. The pina colada comes in a shaved coconut, and I ordered a Cabernet (only $8!!) from the Coppola winery. It was full bodied, robust, cinnamony and slightly spicy. I'm still dreaming about it today.

This Metreon jewel is spacious, jovial, and slippery! We decided to have a company celebration here, and we're becoming regulars at Jillians. Only that each time, we're bigger and louder than before. Pretty soon, we'll have to reserve the entire pool hall! We could really use more bowing lanes in SOMA, and I only wish Jillians had at least a few. But their pool tables will suffice for now, and my fellow cohorts seemed to dig the quesadillas, wings, and samplers. This joint also serves the requisite Hefeweizen and other weissbiers which keeps them out of the red!
