by caity p. on The absolute worst service in San Francisco. You will be treated better at Burger King. The hostess is so rude, you almost can't believe it. We waited 3.5 hours -- as if we forgot you can get bottomless mimosas a half a block away -- and when I politely told this to the wretched, old hostess she scoffed at me. Nice customer service, eh? The first time we went, we just couldn't get over the fact that we could get really drunk and dance around over brunch on a Sunday morning. But that was because we were so drunk, we didn't care that the evil troll hostess didn't apologize for the wait, or keep us informed about when we'd be seated (who are we, anyway? Oh yeah, people paying you $$$ for good food and good service). And, we also didn't care that our server was equally snotty, or that they time your brunch and make you leave before you're through because they have to seat the other people who have been waiting 2-3 hours. But, the second time we went we realized this was a pattern -- they are always overwhelmed and let in too many people, so they resent their customers and treat them like shit. AND their food sucks. They don't value your business. Their food is BARELY on par with Applebee's. Yes, they have bottomless mimosas and loud music but, THIS IS SAN FRANCISCO and it shouldn't be hard to find a better place to get down on a Sunday.
by Brendan H. on This is a very fun, dynamic, and beautiful nightclub spot. Very lively too. I went earlier this year in January and I was hesitant at first dropping $20 plus drinks with my cousin and friend but I was not dissapointed. I met some chill people, girls were actually DOWN TO DANCE (not putting up a front since afterall we are there to party or have fun nothing more; stop acting like you too good to interact with otherwise sit down and chill or stay in your groupies), and I didn't find a dull moment. What strikes me about this bomb ass club though is that it's a humongous place with muli-floors not only with different rooms but with different generes of music in each one all equipped with their own bars. Haha me and my cousin had to keep it on a grown man level and drink red wine not orange juice but we met these cool females later and bought some Laced Cocaine... shots. Thought I was going to cross dat hardcore line huh, hex nah. Another thing that strikes me about this place is that they CHANGE THE LAYOUTS of the place on a daily basis (no this is not a drunk assertion). It's like a Temple with secret walls and traps, there's new rooms and re-arranged walls and blah blah. There's lots of areas to lounge in and a lot of open places when you are feeling trapped in. Anyways, you know the place is satisfying if the people are having fun and if people are having fun they will be chill and open. I spent most of my time in the HipHop room down in the basement and some in the Techno room on the main floor where people were battlin' I was about to get in it but I was straight lol. Go here if the opportunity arises and get on guestlist if you can so you don't pay too big of an entry fee. If you get faded and do something stupid don't blame me haha. Have fun finding treasure in the Temple.
by Orlando Heyser on Everyone's got a spot in the city they'd identify as their version of hell, and mine might just be Webster Hall. In fairness, I should state that I've only been here once, and it was for a rock show. Still, the room was stifling and overcrowded, it was impossible to move either closer to or further away from the stage, the stage itself was partially obscured and it was so damn hot I stripped down to a white t-shirt in the middle of winter and still emerged soaked in an unnatural level of sweat. Attending a show here is a mistake I don't plan on making twice.
