by Earlean Cantwell on I had a great time at Zahav! The service was great! We were seated at the exact time of our reservation. Our glasses were never empty and the food came out at a perfect pace. Our waitress was very helpful and recommended some great choices. As for the meal all the food was delicious and full of lots of spices. I did the Taste of Zahav which I thought was a great deal. The salad/hummus was a great deal b/c it gave you the opportunity to try lots of different things. The crispy haloumi was my favorite entree. All the duck and lamb entrees were delicious too. My one regret was not trying out the Lemonna drink that everyone seemed to be having. I will definitely go back there again some day.
by Tiera Dicola on Went for the soft opening. The service was very spotty but that is why you have a soft opening. There was a hosted event for the Industry peeps, open bar and menu which was very generous of the owners, the food was great. Unfortunately, I had a 9:30 reservation and was never seated for my reservation...I arrived early 9:15ish checked in w/ the hostess and waited at the bar for about 45min, the hostess seated a couple that arrived after us ;( and when she remembered that we still hadn't been seated it was too late...she announced there were no seats for us in the dining room and that the kitchen was about to close, ;( I was so sad, fortunately the hostess handled the situation extremely well and we were able to order dinner at the bar (quickly)...I had seared tuna and my colleague had yellowfin...we shared a prawn cocktail for an app. The food was good, I def would like to go back and have a true dining exp. at the restaurant...the atmosphere was fun,very busy & lively. Thank you Mayes for opening your restaurant up to the industry and letting us be the first to exp. your new restaurant!
