I was here with a friend at a private corporate holiday party. We arrived a little after 8pm as we had other plans in the afternoon that were in Oakland that ran late... We arrived and couldn't miss the large bright Bimbo's sign out front. Once arrived we checked in with our host table and then headed over to the front bar to grab drinks. The place is fairly small but does contain a large dance floor and nice sized stage. That evening was a 70's type girl group singing oldies hits, they were very good. I thought the sound in this place was great. The decor is somewhat retro with red and black and chandeliers hanging up and around. We were also able to place card games and they had casino tables set up all around the dance floor. As far as bar service, the gents were friendly, and even when I went up towards the end up of the night to order a drink (mind you this was open bar, all these companies events are open-bar) it was after he sent my drink down and I layed a $1 for tip on the bar that he said "Cash only now, the host bar is closed" I apologized and told him I didn't realize it was over. He said there was an ATM on the other side of the room but I explained I only had $2 cash on me and if I had anything else I would have gladly paid for it. He explained that it was okay "just this time" and took my $2 and I grabbed my drink and went back to dancing. I did appreciate that but somehow didn't understand how they could have better communicated that to the entire party, because I went back to my group and nobody else knew host bar was over either. As part of the private party we had a buffet of fondue, pulled pork, and for dessert mini-cupcakes and cookies aplenty. The ladies restroom is kind of interesting as there is an attendant giving out compliments and paper towels in search of a tip. They also have some candy and hair spray etc. for the taking (tip is appreciated). I found that this area was the most vintage feeling in decor with these great small stools and mirrors to sit and re-apply makeup. I chose to write about the food even though this a review of the venue since I assume they recommended the caterer for the event. I would like to see an event here sometime, hope something comes by soon.

I saw carl cox here last night. he had a awesome set! LOVEEEE IT! The venue itself is pretty nice. It's warehouse like and it has upstairs and a smoking area. I liked the staff that night they were all pretty easy going and the bartender made me the most stiff drinks ever. I'm still feeling sick from all of those long islands. Price is pretty good. depends on who you're seeing I suppose but the drink prices were pretty decent. The crowd was weird. REALLY mixed. I think it's all depends on who's throwing it and who is performing you know? bathrooms were clean (for girls), typical club bathroom, i'm not expecting anything beyond so pretty standard. 4 stars overall for the whole experience.

Expensive, semi-boring and our table was right by the front door. One star since the bouncer kept random drunk people from sitting down in our "area". One star 'cause the DJ(s) played "Put It In Your Mouth" TWICE! One star for the bomb ass Thai food we got to eat AFTER the club. :)
