I hadn't been to Bruno's in AGES until just recently ... of course, I went during the dotcom boom when it was cool, but since then just assumed it was lame. Well, it's on the upswing again. The food was great, and not really what I expected (would almost classify it as soul food, but prepared and presented so nicely I'm not sure that does it justice). Guess they got some new peeps running the kitchen ... good call by mgmnt. I'm not a huge club guy, so the late-night oonce oonce they run isn't my scene (but seemed like it could be fun, if you were into that sorta thing). So, yeah, I recommend checking it out (again, if you haven't been in a while). Get the pulled pork sandwich, and whatever they have that you like for dessert (we had some chocolate thing, and an apple something ... both were great, but apparently the menu changes). I was the exact opposite of disappointed. (... and, although I'm a boring married guy, it seemed like a great place for a date - hip enough to be hip, but low-key enough to actually have a conversation.)

oddest stripmall location....big lot surroundings....finding parking simple...quick jot to location....velvet room lines....arrival being midnight....fifteen minutes of wait....$twenty cover...special event?....inside and ready....mixed crowds...dancing and fine....$eight cocktails....just a nip of jack 'n' coke....wanting sound mind and safety....dancing 'n' enjoying...another nip or two for enjoyment....dancing all around....largescale dancefloor or just mass dancing in any vacant location found....going on 'til late night...leaving at three am...first arrival and starting off with fine "hotlanta" females....
