I'm not used to seeing "healthy" and "Chinese food" in the same sentence, or even in the same paragraph, but this place makes it work. Their fresh ingredients and delicious sauces will satisfy your craving for Asian cuisine without having to rifle through your medicine cabinet for Tums afterwards. Their crab rangoons are probably the best I've ever had and prices are decent for what you get. I've only gotten delivery from this place, but I will definitely become a loyal customer.
by Michael A. on I want to love El Rio, I really do. I mean, it's pretty gay, and gay is good, right? A far cry from the Castro...but I'm still crying. The crowd is different every time and the pseudo-radical queer activists filled it this Saturday with their un-deodorzied bodies, un-talented singing, and un-inspired, hackneyed politics. I'll be back; I mean, different every time is better than Aberzombie every time. So it's 1 star for Saturday and 5 stars for Sunday, which is easily the best day to go as it's a heaven of salsa and smiles! On the plus side though, you can off-handedly and bitterly swill a spicy and huge Worcester-sauced Bloody Mary until the cows come home for only $6 regardless of the day of the week
