by Jo H. on The food really wasn't very good...in fact, it was barely edible :( I came here for a dine about town and though the personalized menu made everything sound really good...but...nothing really tasted...really good. And I tried a LOT of their menu too. The best things were probably the roasted duck quesadilla and the ribs. I'd suggest not ordering anything else off the DAT menu. That being said, I still gave the place 3 stars because overall, I had a fun time despite bad food! (That's pretty amazing actually, that the entertainment can bump it up 2 stars) The waitresses were so sweet and fun and the dancing was really feminine and sexy. I had a good time cheering them on and enjoying the shows. I can only imagine how much crazier the place would be on a weekend night! Seriously, the bangin' girls at this place can make any girl feel self conscious afterwards :P
by Evangeline W. on After reading the reviews I was excited to check out this place. The decor is very sleek and trendy and the menu had some interesting drinks. This is by far the worst and most rude staff I have ever encountered. We stopped by this place on a Wednesday evening. There was a decent crowd of people, but not overcrowded so we were surprised that we stood at the bar for at least 10 minutes without anyone acknowledging us. When my husband tried to get one of the bartenders attention to order some white wine sangria she snapped back "we're out of that." We decided to move to the other side of the bar because she was obviously preoccupied and annoyed. I attempted to order the drinks from the other bartender and was again ignored and then rudely informed that they were "out of" the type of drink that I requested. The bartenders did not offer other suggestions or even seem to care that we wanted to order any drinks. Also, the "monkey bread" is not on the menu. if you like being treated like crap...then this is the place for you.
by Joy Starnaud on Classy enough to know better, but still too cool to care... Great American is prawly my favorite music spot in the city (along with Fillmore and Cafe du Nord). Old-school style dedicated to new school sound (pepperings of older school available upon request). Classic architecture (pillars like, never seem to go out of style - Go Romans! Go Grecians! Wut wut!), and limited space always make for a memorable and intimate music experience. Check it. Maybe try one of those drinks that rhymes with 'sartini' as you stir about the room. Or shake. Tinis are guuuud...
