by Marvis Vanez on From outside, you don't see the golden glory. Once you entered, you would be enchanted by the golden decor and velvet feel of the hidden lounge. We had a private party here and it was so much fun. DJ played good music, drinks were delicious (but pricey). Overall, it was a very exclusive and upscale lounge. Would love to come here to feel special again :)
by Gloria Corish on If you expect cheap Asian food in a cheap atmosphere, go to Chinatown...Tao is anything but cheap, but for two good reasons - a very nice and trendy setting with KICK BUTT MARTINIS! (And because of this, don't forget to dress up a bit...this is definitely a place to people watch!) Yup, that alone made me splurge one night when I was craving the likes of PF Changs (and btw...PF Chang's has NOTHING on this place!). Oh, I also wanted to go because Dennis Rodman took some guests here when he was on Celebrity Apprentice! Because I was alone, I opted NOT to get a table...and instead, sat at the bar. The bartenders are quite attentive, and friendly. Back to priorities...MARTINIS! They have their own menu...and what better than a good lychee martini...made with fresh lychee juice and served with pieces of lychee in it! DELECTABLE! For food...I had the hot and sour soup...and the coolest thing about it besides the fact that it was exquisite...the bowl it came in...very posh. I also ordered some spring rolls and gyozas and everything was outstanding. Believe it or not...those three things satisfied my appetite...topped with 3 martinis...made for a good night!
by Lee-Anne B. on This place is cute, definitely on the boogie side! I've actually been here long time ago when it was a club called privilege. I didn't get to try the food, I came here for some drinks with a friend. I like the set up inside, the seats are very cozy. Drinks are pricey, of course, you're on that side of town! But at least they were pretty strong. While we were there they even gave us a little appetizer which was pita bread with some sort of cream cheese dipping cream which was pretty bomb. We went into the bar in the back, hoping it would be poppin but there weren't many people back there surprisingly. We took a shot then found our way to another bar off sunset.
