I loved my spring rolls and lychee martini but Tao's desperate attempts at hipness weren't quite my style. I'd rather find a super un-chic hole in the wall that will let me wear sneakers while eating grandma's mac & cheese recipe.
by Taylor Demetriou on This place had a pretty cool vibe going for it. I dig the uptempo beats that get played and the lighting makes it very comfortable. The prices are high but it is the meat packing district. I got the Lamb chops for my main course and they were incredible. Really juicy and they gave me a nice serving. I am giving them only three stars though because I feel they need to step it up on the apps. Nothing there really caught my eyes as being new and invetive. Even the etrees didn't jump out at me. I've been to some other fusion type restaraunts and when I have read their menus its like I was reading something really new and I felt adventurous. Here I was like. Eh OK they got the basics down. It gets three but I doubt I'd be coming back.

You are a dumbass if you don't know how aggressive Korean waiters can be. You are not fooling anyone when you are pretending to be dragged. You secretly like it, otherwise you wouldn't go. Go to a Hollywood club or stay home if you hate it sooo much.
