by Harris Nooner on I really don't understand what the hype is about. I was there rather reluctantly on Sat. I had to go to be with my friend who wanted to go there. There was a ridiculously long line. Just as you think you got to the front of the line, there's another line . . . just like waiting for a ride at an amusement park. Anyways, we got in without a long wait through a friend's connection. I don't go clubbing anymore, and it's been over 10 years since I set foot in one of these establishments. I gotta say, the so called "hottest club in LA" did not impress me. It's just a club, just like any other expensive clubs I've been to in my 20s, except this one is much smaller. People, the long line and the cost are not worth the hype. Oh, and the club is filled with people who want to grab strangers' asses. If you don't want to be grabbed or dry humped, I recommend that you avoid this place. As for me, I mostly sat down and drank so as not to be grabbed and endured a couple of hours. By the way, the DJ was pretty decent.
by Norman Chafe on okay so the novelty of the theme wears off in about 45 seconds and you're suddenly left wondering why all your money is gone. also, what kind of wizard/genius put speakers directly over the bar, blasting downward at the bartenders & patrons?? i got the wrong drink twice, and i can't even blame the bartender. this is a no-go.
by Caroline J. on Vessel is a classy nightclub tucked away from the busy streets of Union Square. A small black entrance sign signals the entrance into the club. At first glance the space appears small - but walk past the coat check and down the stairs to find a sleek, spacious venue. A long, dark bar lines the right side of the room underneath the stairs. Bartenders are attentive and adorable - serving up shots with sweet smiles. Luxurious couches and tiny tables outline an intimate dance floor. A DJ plays house hits from the elevated stage space at the front of the room, keeping the crowd moving at an enjoyable pace. Unisex bathrooms offer partiers a polished place to freshen up. Space is small - but their are plenty of stalls. The clean counter tops are decorated with designer hand soaps and lotion - a sophisticated upgrade from the usual bar bathroom. From the posh couch pillows to the polished, professional staff - everything about this club is classy, chic, and comfortable. Vessel's superb service and stylish space makes it the perfect place for a saucy Saturday night!
