What a craphole. Smoking allowed inside with little to no ventalation. When you leave, you smell like a footlocker that's been on fire. The music set is just a bucnh of repetative songs you hear on the radio most of the day. There are a bunch of locals that frequent the bar and think "they own" the place and are quite rude and interuptive if you wanted to just have a drink be it at the bar or at a table. The shows they have are mediocre at best. Most of the men in there are either old, or young single guys trying to get a "piece of action". The local women that frequent the place are either divorced, getting divorced, married, or drama queens. The bartenders ignore you if they don't know you. The bathrooms in the place are disqusting at best and not sanitary at all. DO NOT GO HERE. Yuck.

The above reviews aren't about THIS Moose Ck Lodge, which is a single level bar, old school neighborhood bar outside the Eielson AFB gate about a mile or so. Mama Mel's motto is HIGH 5 FOR BOOBIES, aka H54B.
Open pool on Mondays; DJ and karaoke on the weekends.

Park across the street --"5 dolla make you holla!" said the man calling us into the parking lot. We agreed, it made us holler, all six of us. Heard tickets at the door are $17/ *ahem, noise* Waited for friends that had free passes. The VIP line was retarded. They were waiting longer than those who just arrived. Would of annoyed me. Once in. Danced from 11pm-2am straight not realizing the time had passes and I was having an amazing time. There were 3 rooms of music but the main room had a band. Salsa/Meringue it was all good. All I wished while I was here was that there was a taller selection of men to choose from. Strangly enough, my first sober night of dancing. And one of the best!

LOVE the music at this place.. DJ DL. mixed the virgins, franz ferdinand, the strokes with nice club beats in the background.. sounded fantastic. He also played real house music unlike other clubs who pla "rihanna" or whoever. I loved everything about avenue (people, space, etc.) EXCEPT the bathroom line was rediculous.

Despite the somewhat mainstream crowd and DJ tracks, Medjool has something going for it that 99% of the bars/clubs in the Mission don't have - SIZE. Three levels, including a spacious dance floor on the 1st level, a 2nd level mezzanine with a balcony and the top level Terrace w/ NYC type views of SF and a breath of fresh air, OK slightly fresh air, this is the Mission after all. With a more imaginative theme night, this place could really be something.
