by Mike S. on I ate there last night and what a huge disappointment. Service was average and not friendly. My order of 'Fishtown Stew' was tasty but small for $18.00. My girlfriend ordered a chicken ceasar salad and it was pretty ridiculous. A few oily, grilled whole leaves of romaine lettuce topped with a couple pieces of chicken breast for $15.00. I'm all for gastropubs, but to charge that amount for average to substandard fare will keep me away. I've been to shows there and it's a solid venue, but I would not recommend it for dining.
by Deon Brimley on went with a friend for an interscope party. i'd probably never come back. every single person there except for me was a tall statuesque white or asian espn model type. i am a short indian girl. at 5'2", i did not fit in there. :( but even besides that, the venue is just eh. eh. it was just ok. three floors, yes. kinda pretty ambience, yes. but nothing amazing. the bottom floor was really dark and there were a lot of older people there, maybe in their 30s? all i will say is that people in their 30s dance differently from people in their 20s. not better or worse, just differently. so it was a little strange & disconcerting. the next floor is the restaurant, which is pretty enough but it is just a restaurant. then finally the rooftop - it's small and it's very hard to walk around it. the cabanas are beautiful but they take up so much space that there is no point being up there unless you're in one of them. and we weren't. so..yeah. so much for another "hot new hollywood club."
