Don't forget to give a quick puja to the statue of Buddha as you walk in the door. He may just bless you with the night of your life, like he did with me when I went to Temple. Show started at ten, ran 'til four. Abstract Rude, Aceyalone, and Mikah Nine began the night with classics like 'GB in Your Life' and, 'I Gotta Be Me'. They had my booty shakin' like a good martini and it was great to hear so many of the tunes that have been in my rotation for years. Then around one or so, Awesome Sauce 3000 came on and I literally couldn't even tear myself away from dance floor for a cigarette, they were so good. Live female vocals, horns and keyboard made them irresistably dope. The smoking area was a little rectangle of good-will, surrounded by a waist-high, chain-link fence, where a girl could rub elbows and get to know some of her fellow party-goers. The crowd was eclectic and cool; a mix of hipsters, hippies, and hip-hop heads. The drinks were jaw-droppingly pricey (fifteen bucks for a Long Island? Ouch!), but, hey, that's why flasks were invented. If there were another party like this one, or even a dj that I really liked playing at Temple, I would definitely go again.

Overrated. I decided to stop in here and try it since I was in Atlanta. I was expecting more. I had the chili cheese dog which was good. The onion rings: good. The frosted orange: mediocre. Didn't resemble a dreamsicle to me. All and all, I guess it's a place you have to try once, but not twice.

I went here for the first time a few weeks ago during the SFxSD music fest... LOVED IT! Too bad I don't live closer :( Pros: Shuffle board Cheap beer Kick ass back patio Cons: Shady bathrooms (although I must say I liked the powdered soap in the bathroom.. That wasn't soap you say?!) Narrow entry way that gets a little congested I'll be back!
