The tacos here are soo good! I hate this place for being so yummy & tempting! I am a very healthy eater & coming here is def. a special treat. The food is very fatty (&deep fried) but what do you expect out of fast mex food... I've tried the carne asada tacos, chicken tacos, & the nachos. Everything is delish! The tacos have one soft and one crispy shell, which give them the original "Nick's" texture & taste. Make sure to order the guacamole (for everything!) It will be worth the extra buck! Oh and if you get here during happy hour, the drinks are really reasonably priced!

I only had the michilango (I think) margarita. But it was great. Orange margarita with lots of chili pepper. Ooooh, mama! I'd only have one of those, though. It's one of those sweet drinks that is filling, plus my mouth burned. :-) We sat on the patio and had a great waitress that didn't seem to mind how long we hung out with half of us being done drinking and enjoying the self-serve water. Also a friend ordered a round of shots and I remember being impressed by the quantity of the liquor, so score. The lounge area I have to say, though, is the cheesiest cheese I've ever seen. It's all retro-cowboy and sorry, but there is NO WAY I could drink in the room. Ack! That is totally just my own opinion, though.

Yep, I love it. Can't really explain why, I just do. Even with the smoke, I see myself returning here again and again. And investing in large quantities of Febreze. Great beer list, with everything from high-end Belgians to king sized PBRs. Our waitress on my last visit was phenomenal: despite our gigantic group she remembered all of our orders, split our checks, recommended particular beers, and also gave smart recommendations on the food. Plus she was totally cute... one of those girls where you just wish you had her innate sense of style and confidence. Total girl crush! The falafel was surprisingly solid and I really enjoyed the nearly tart tahini that accompanied it. I had no problem nearly clearing my plate, and the prices were phenomenal on most everything (although I think I'm just getting used to everything being cheaper than DC). The beers kept coming and my entire tab was only $25. Pretty incredible, no? Trivia is here on Wednesday nights, and it's pretty popular. Be sure to get here early if you've got a large crowd! The actual trivia was pretty solid, although easier than most. Also, the two women announcing trivia hadn't really brought their A-game, as a lot of the teams seemed to be jumbled around and there were some scoring inaccuracies. Also, while the pace was decent overall there was some serious lag time in between the rounds. Still, I definitely enjoyed the very laid back trivia that was going on and I'd happily return. Especially if we get to beat Ivan again.
